We went to the doctor this morning! Everything is looking good. Brudhilda gained 500gms in 2 weeks and now weighs 2200gms (approx) The doctor was kind of surprised because he has been measuring a little small through my whole pregnancy and is now measuring average/ slightly bigger than average! I think we need to start putting bets on how big he will be when he comes out! I have always had a feeling he will be more than 4kgs (8 pounds) but then again, I also had the feeling that he was a girl when I first got pregnant so I no longer trust my women`s instincts!!!Today during the ultra-sound we got a perfect view of his face. He was sleeping but his mouth was moving! It was SO cute and I have to confess to getting really tearful. As time goes by, I get more and more terrified that I will be a terrible mother and will drop the baby or something but also, I feel the excitement growing at the idea of meeting this little person who has been living inside me for 9 months. It is weird feeling so protective of someone who isn`t even here yet!! God knows how protective I will be when he gets here!! I have another couple of weeks of scheduled classes but I am planning to stop work completely when I hit 37 weeks at the end of March. I know this is kind of late and I have no idea what I will do if the baby is early because I haven`t really gotten around to nesting yet! I have faith it will all be fine though and working is good for me as it gets me out of the house and away from cookies! (My current craving!) Tomorrow is our one year wedding anniversary. I have to admit to feeling a little bit sad and lonely because this time last year, so many wonderful people were gathering in Kagoshima to celebrate our big day with us. I rarely get homesick but I do miss my friends and family at times like this. Our wedding was SO much fun! :-) Everyone still talks about it and every time we go to the restaurant we had our second party at, we get a big welcome because SOO many people came that night! (Most Japanese second parties have about 20/30 people there.. there are about 70 at ours! You couldn`t fit everyone in the place!!) Anyway, shouldn`t reminisce too much as when Brudhilda gets big enough to read this, I am sure we won`t want him to know about our drunken antics!!!
