The morning after..
Well the good news is that Joey seems fine still. The bad news is that he woke up several times last night either because he was hungry or just because he wanted to play. I think the reason is because we were advised not to bathe him and so he wasn`t aware that it really was bedtime because his routine was a bit out of whack!
I suddenly realised that I forgot to update after his check-up last friday.. he now weighs in at 8765gms and is 66.5 cms long! Not quite a giant baby but getting there! ;-) I think the doctor was a bit suspicious that I was overfeeding him so he started to tell me that there are lots of reasons why babies cry etc.. and then I said "yes but when joey cries when he is hungry, it is totally different to when he just wants to be picked up" and the doctor said "oh good, as long as you know that.." I thought "My baby is 4 months old, he must get some real idiots in here if he doesn`t think it is pretty normal to be able to tell the differences." Then I remembered some of the mothers to be I encountered at my maternity classes and figured it must be people like them! LOL! (Just kidding.. well kind of..) The doctor said that if Joey continues to grow on the straight line that he is growing now I might have to start watching how much I feed him but for the moment he is fine. I have to admit that I am quite taken with the new doctor. He is in his 50s/60s so obviously has alot of experience and Joey liked him alot. He also isn`t remotely phased that I am a foreigner and has yet to ask me any daft questions about where I am from etc.. This is usually how I gauge how well I am going to get on with a doctor, because I believe they should treat me the same way they treat every other patient in the office and not like a random foreigner.
