Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree..

I had a pleasant surprise yesterday evening when Daisuke randomly brought home a Christmas tree! We had alot of fun putting on the decorations that came with the tree and it was really cute to see Daisuke doing it because he had never experienced tree decorating before!! I was chuffed because the only tree I have ever had in Japan was only about 30cms tall so it iscool to have a proper size one for a change!! I finally have somewhere to put the little knitted stockings a kind friend sent me last year! (they have been hanging from the light fixture since we moved as I didn`t want to lost them just in case we got a tree this year!!) now all I need is lots of presents to put under the tree! LOL!

I know I mentioned Joey had started to pull himself up but since yerterday morning he has been doing it constantly! I had to put a blanket over the coffee table so he can`t catch himself on the edges and last night while I was putting the dishes in the dishwasher, he stood up in the cot as well so today I have to work out how to lower the level of the bed so it is safe to put him in there to play. I also think that we are going to have to make a trip to akachan honpo at the weekend to buy one of those big circles that keep the baby in a confined area but still relatively free because on wednesday he discovered the fun of following Mummy around wherever she goes so he is now into everything in the kitchen and hallway!!! The other good news is that he is really getting into solids now. He LOVES carrots and we gave him some yoghurt with carrot and applesauce mixed in (odd combination but it comes like that) and he really liked that as well!!
