Anniversary continued...

For some reason I could upload pictures to my last post so I figured it might have been too big.

Above is a picture of Daisuke and I taken at some point in the month or so after we got married legally. There are no pictures of the actual day and it was a very cold and clinical affair. No-one even said "congratulations" and a few months later when a couple from one of my favourite TV programmes Ainori (which is an addictive mix of a travel programme and Blind Date) got married, they made a big fuss and said congratulations and everything. This annoyed Jenn and I no end because both of us had real problems with city hall when we got married and no congratulations afterwards. We were both planning on writing to the programme and complaining about the misrepresentation of Kagoshima city hall as a nice place to tie the knot! LOL!

We got married the day before a National Holiday (Foundation of Japan day or something like that) so decided to go to Kanoya for the night. Not very romantic but we needed to talk to D`s Mum about wedding plans and it seemed like the perfect opportunity!! The night before the "big day" we had some friends over, one of whom had agreed to witness the document (Jenn was my witness) Here is a picture:

It was a fun night and I think set the tone for the weeks leading up to and after our wedding (which was a hugely drunken and highly amusing affair which I will no doubt write about at the beginning of march!!)

Happy (belated) anniversary! :) I remember registering at the ward office...it was anti-climatic.
