The sun has got his hat on.. hip hip hip hooray..

Ok, well maybe it isn`t quite that sunny but after the CRAPPY weather of the past week, even a tiny bit of sun is a wonderful thing!!! :-) I was so excited I even tried to take a pic but as the sun wasn`t quite up when I took it, it ended up like this: I quite like the shot though... Yesterday my friend/ ex student Rumi came to visit with her daughter Ai. Ai is nearly 3 months old now and very cute. Although like Aoi-chan (Joey`s cousin) she cries.. ALOT.. They don`t seem to have the concept of colic in Japan and when I looked it up in the dictionary to ask her if she had heard of it, it came up as 夜泣き (which translates as night crying..) I sometimes wonder how Japanese kids survive babyhood. There is also no concept of the fact that teething hurts, they say that it itches instead so my friend Mihoko has been having problems with her son waking up crying at night (this also translates as 夜泣き) and when I asked her if maybe he was teething and it was hurting him, she was like "teething hurts?!?!" Anyway, I digress.. Ai-chan came to play and Joey was quite taken with her. He seems to be getting more and more sociable as days pass and it is so much fun to watch!! Joey and Ai having a nap together..
