I really should try and keep my house a bit tidier..

Have you ever had one of those days when someone rocks up unexpectedly and you are forced to let them into your house even though it is a total mess and you are terribly embarassed that your housekeeping style of "tidy up for guests" has been discovered!?!? One of those days when you know that everyone will be taking about the "gaijin" in the apartment block whose living room is COVERED in clothes/ toys and books that her son has been playing with/ taken from their designated spot and thrown on the floor and that she hasn`t been bothered to tidy up yet! It doesn`t help that thanks to the crappy weather, there is laundry hanging EVERYWHERE which just makes the place look ten times messier than it would originally. Today was one of those days for me!!!The guy from the construction company came over unexpectedly to check a fault in our floorboards. (which have started creaking already even though it has only been a year since this place was built!) They are guaranteed for up to two years so I thought it best to try and get things sorted before I head for the UK next week. Looks like they will be coming to fix them at some point this week. I had better tidy up before anymore random workmen come into the apartment! Who knows, i might get lucky and they might be cute!!! ;-)

yes I have had one of those days... actually a lot more than just one! Or even if the apartment is tidy people tend to turn up when I'm in my P.J's or looking a total mess!

A messy house and unsuspecting visitors. Oh yeah! I've been there too! : )

Funny how when the house is perfectly tidy, I get no unsuspecting visitors at all. But the second my youngest son takes a few books from the shelf, throws them on the living room floor. Bangs on a few pots and pans and leaves them in the kitchen and presto!!! The door bell rings. Never fails! Ha ha ha! : )
