Peace and quiet...
This evening I think Daisuke decided to be less of an arse for a change and offered to take Joey to the hot spring bath. I jumped at the offer and practically pushed the two of them out of the door. I probably only have an hour or so but it is so precious at the moment! I am watching Desperate Housewives ( my friend lent me her DVD set!) and enjoying the silence of the apartment and the cool breeze that is blowing through the place. I have decided to drop big hints to D about wanting a multi-region DVD player for Xmas/ my birthday because I am a bit fed up of watching DVDs on the computer! I know he is going to say that we don`t need one because our DVD/ Video combination is more than enough but I am going to argue that it is good for Joey`s english language development because then he can watch all the DVDs that my Mum and Aunts have sent him from England and Australia!!
Anyway, back to Desperagte Housewives, I have become a bit of a TV nut recently and am loving watching lots of cool programmes that I don`t get to watch on TV in Japan!

oh lucky you!! i'm glad you got some time to yourself!
Enjoy your free time. I hear ya! : )
I've been sucked into the whole Desperate Housewives show too. I watch it on our satellite here in Japan. : )
w00t totally well deserved and you better get that dvd player!
PS, I'm sure you know this already, but FBC sells the region free dvd players. We bought our region free one, off Yahoo.jp auctions though. Some guy on there sells new ones for cheap. We've had ours for about 4 years now. Having a region free DVD player is great, especially being an expat, that way we can buy DVD's in the US (in your case the UK : )) or Japan and still be able to rent DVD's from Tsutaya, lol.
The FBC region free, is like 7900 yen or somewhere around there. Not too bad a price. And the ones on Yahoo, were like 6000 yen, I think. Hope you get one for Christmas! : )
