From my head to my back...
My migraine finally cleared on saturday morning and now I have a bad back instead!!! I think my body is trying to tell me something!!! (That Joey is WAY too heavy to be carried as much as I have to carry him- time to put him on a diet perhaps!?!!!)
Last night I spent a long time talking to D about where I want us to be this time next year and we finally seem to be on the same page. We still have alot of things we need to work on as a couple but I am hoping that last night made him see that he can`t take me for granted anymore because I won`t always put up with it.
Today I have a whole day with Joey and I was planning to take him to the Zoo or something but as my back hurts, it might end up being a quiet day at home, we shall see! I haven`t had a 100% free day during the week for so long, I don`t know what to do with myself!! LOL!
ETA- One of my students in Aira has the Mumps and I would like Joey to catch it as it is definitely one of those childhood illnesses that he should get sooner rather than later, but I am not sure if I have had it or if I was vaccinated for it so I am in a dilemma because if we both catch it at the same time I am screwed because I have next to zero family support around here. (Although I am sure my friends/neighbours would be a big help if it came to that so it isn`t the end of the world but not ideal..)

Wow Mumps?!?! I am not sure are we not vaccinated against it?!?!
lol I am one that avoids being ill at any cost!
Sorry to read about your back! Hope you are feeling better soon!
Definately a good idea to stay home and take care of your back....you don`t want to make it worse! I hope you are feeling better really soon.
We ended up vaccinating for the mumps but if I`d had the opportunity to let them catch it at a young age like Joey, I`d have gone for it. Can you find out if you were vaccinated or not from your mom?
Both my boy's get vaccinated in the US, so they got the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella vaccine a few times already so we're safe for vaccinations over here...caught up with all of them actually.) I know it's a bit different in Japan though. Personally I agree with ya and think it's fine to let Joey catch the mumps as well. I heard my nephew and niece in Osaka just caught them a few weeks back. So maybe it's going around Japan, who knows : )
Is there anyway to phone home and ask if you have had them?
I hope your back gets better. I'm glad you and the hubs are on the same page. And had a good talk! It's really hard Midori, with possible moves and what to do. Honestly, between you and me, Noboru has a job opportunity right now, but he'd have to go to Kyushu for 1 year. I don't want to move again. Could we live apart? Or would I go? I don't want to get into it too much here in the comment section but.....talks like this are hard. For us, he might not even take the job. Decisions like this are really tough! Anyway, I'm here for you! : )
I just wanted to check in with ya and see how you are feeling? I know you are working, and the back problem and plus caring for a toddler on the go, has probably got you very busy at the moment, but I do worry about you and I hope you are feeling okay! : )
Your friend,
Gina
Maybe because it's I'm older and remember the pain and risk of the childhood diseases only too well.
The girls are up to date on all their shots. Even something minor like the mumps can have serious complications.
Of course that's just my opinion.
