I took Joey for his first ever immunisation. I was totally terrified that something would go wrong as I had read some scary stories about bad reactions to immunisations but I figured I would feel even worse if he was sick for a long time with something that could have been prevented by an injection. He doesn`t cry very often and hearing the wails of the babies who were being vaccinated before him had me close to tears and when his time came he did cry but so did I! (I think the doctor and nurse thought I was a bit of a whacko!!) He cried for a few minutes afterwards but soon calmed down and was trying to flirt with the little girl opposite us!! We had to stay at the doctor`s office for 30 minutes after to make sure he didn`t go into anaphalatic (sp) shock but then we were free to go. He is fast asleep at the moment but I will be keeping a close eye on him for the next 24 hours or so!
Joey has started reaching out for stuff and putting it in his mouth. Above is a picture of him with his new bext friend, a little fluffy Roo which was a present from my friend Laurie!
Things went well with the flat viewing and we put in an application for a loan. We should know by the beginning of next week if the bank has ok-ed it and then it will be all systems go. It is unfortunate we didn`t find the flat sooner because if we had, we could have watched the annual fireworks in Kagoshima from the comfort of our new living room!! I guess we will just have to have a party next year instead!!
