Soooo sleepy.....
The good news is that I think J`s fever is coming down. Of course, I am unable to get him to co-operate with having his temperature taken right now so I am just judging it according to how hot he was last night! Neither of us got much sleep last night (and when I say neither of us, I mean Joey and I, Daisuke escaped by going to sleep on the sofa, his excuse being that he has to work today) Joey kept waking up as he was obviously suffering and at one point his forehead and whole body was SO hot, I really understood the meaning of "burning up". I wiped him down with a tepid flannel and that seemed to help things. The bad news is that he is refusing to take any meds! He won`t eat much (although that isn`t unusual for the morning as he rarely eats much in the morning) but is attached to my boob for much of the day and will eat the fruit juice ice lollies I have in the freezer. I figure that at least he is getting fluids if nothing else. I am worried about his refusal to take the antibiotics as I know it is a bad thing for someone to not complete the full course of antibiotics. They come in powdered form in a sachet and the sheer volume is hard work, it would probably be easier to sneak it to him if it was in pill/ liquid form. How do antibiotics for kids come in other countries?! I am sure it is only Japan that has an obsession with powdered medication in sachets!!!

Liquid with a dropper if necessary; otherwise a small spoon.
Powder? Poor kid. No way to mix it with something?
My son was the same way about powdered medicines, so I mixed the powder with water, stirred it up and let him drink it or put it in a dropper. Hope that helps! The key is to let the medicine dissolve a little before giving it to him. Good luck!
once i got a powder for hiro before he was a year old. i said to the pharmacist, 'are you kidding me??' (well, you know...) he told me to add a very small amount of watter to make a paste, roll it into a ball and pop it into the back of his mouth. it worked fairly well...
Hope Joey is feeling better. I always mixed the powder med with water and he drinks it. It might work with a small amount of yogurt, too...
I've been reading (catching up on) your older posts-I know what you mean you about the anal hub but you ended up with more than you bargained for when you got married-I can totally relate!
Hope you got some sleep!
awww poor Joey and Poor YOU!!! Hope you get some rest soon and that Joey feels better. I agree with the other commenter's you should put it in water and have him drink it.
